Golden Heart is a €50,000 store sale purchase who certainly justified the investment of his connections when he made a winning debut at Loughanmore last month. This is a maiden which typically throws up a nice track prospect, with Ballyburn and Hartur D’Arc among the recent winners, and Golden Heart is not short of likeable qualities either. He took up the running after the opening mile, and although strongly pressed from three-out, by a rival who had the benefit of previous experience, it was a challenge that he was able to overcome in determined style. That was despite coming close to slipping up entering the home straight, which he has to be given even more credit for, as the track likely did not fully play to his strengths.
