Vendor's Notes: Bought for €46,000 as a store, Noble Fleet made his debut at Tinahely, a course that his handler, Denis Murphy, tends to successfully target. Always to the fore, he raced upsides the eventual winner throughout the contest, with the pair skipping clear of their rivals on the long run to the home straight. They had the race between them at the second-last fence, and they remained locked together on the climb up the home straight. Given the narrow margins, an awkward leap at the final fence looked costly, as it allowed the eventual winner to edge half-a-length in front on the short run-in. The pair pulled 20 lengths clear of a previously placed rival, and, notably, the last previous winner of this maiden was last month’s Grade 2 Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase winner, The Jukebox Kid.
