Vendor's Notes: The progressive Clementshill Lad stepped forward from his debut by running out a three-length winner of his maiden at Tyrella earlier this month. It was that same Co. Down venue where he had made his debut in late January, and in that 12-runner maiden, he was only beaten by just over four lengths. That doesn’t tell the whole story, as he made a significant error at the penultimate fence, a a crucial point of the race, particularly at this sharp track which resulted in him dropping back into ninth and last position. To his credit, he rallied strongly under pressure, coming through to take a fast-finishing fifth, closing on those immediately in front of him. There were no such mistakes on his second start, and with that initial experience under his belt, he ran out a ready winner. One of two horses to pull clear approaching the home straight, he showed a great resolution to overcome that challenge to win going away by three lengths in the quickest time on the card.
