Tap Tap Shamie got off the mark on his second start when winning the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Dromahane. The son of Shirocco, who had shaped with promise on debut at the same venue in April 2024, took the lead after four out and quickly established a commanding advantage before keeping on well to score comfortably. A half-brother to Kilbeggan Midlands National winner Idas Boy, he looks a useful, progressive type who should continue to improve under rules.
