Having chased home the impressive Jet To Monte Carlo at Ballynoe on his debut, and after running again last season in Dromahane, he bounced right back to his initial promise by winning at Quakerstown last Saturday. Always racing from the front, in a change in tactics from his two outings in the spring, these positive tactics worked the oracle, as he really began to stretch the field out climbing the hill on the final circuit. Tellingly, the only horse that initially tried to live with him was unable to finish out his race, having to be pulled-up. Although Ka Mate Du Brivet did have a loose horse to contend with, he was unperturbed as he saw it out strongly to the line, with 30 lengths covering the first four horses home.
