Yellow Warning delivered upon the promise of his debut, which had seen him part company with his rider at Ballingarry in May, whilst holding the advantage four-out. That had been on Good ground, so he showed his versatility by opening his account on his very next start in much slower conditions. The Yielding to Soft ground at Peppards Castle last month held no fears for him, as under more patient tactics, he finished out his race in great style. Showing plenty of pace, he cut through the field on the inside of rivals to take up a challenging position before the third-last fence, and despite turning into the home straight in third, he showed great battling qualities to win narrowly in the quickest time on the card.
