There was a lot of like about the performance that Jetty May produced on debut in a four-year-old mares’ maiden at Tattersalls. Patiently ridden, she steadily crept closer, latching herself on to the main group as the tempo of the race began to increase from the fourth-last fence. Despite making a slight error at the next obstacle which left her with ground to make up, but it was notable just how gamely she recouped that lost ground on the run to the home straight, attacking her fences in the process, as she came through to take the second position, closing on the race winner to the line. She is certainly a mare with more to come.
