A tough youngster who has taken his racing well. A fall on debut saw him receive an ideal confidence booster on his second start where the race comment noted that he was ‘eased’ in the closing stages. Following this gentle and sensible approach he has rewarded connections this season with a real step forward in performance. At Toomebridge he was a fair fourth before making considerable progress to finish a close second to Handstands at Moira. This was a very fast run maiden being ten seconds faster than the days average. Much of this time was made in the latter couple of furlongs as this fellow quickened impressively along with the winner all the way down the hill. Given the testing conditions this fellow is assured to be a very effective winter horse going forward and with the expected continued improvement can compete for some coveted prizes. Being out of a sister to Cue Card merely adds further to his appeal.
