This son of Yeats ran out a three-length winner of a competitive Dromahane maiden last Sunday on debut. His sire is enjoying a superb year with multiple Cheltenham Festival winners including Chantry House, Flooring Porter and Mount Ida and this fellow could well add further to the top class stayers list of graduates. The Gunner Yeats could well add to those honours as he made all in the quickest time on the card to justify his market support before the off. Challenged in the straight by a close relation of the talented Oscar Whiskey, he showed a really likeable attitude to repel that challenge and could be called the winner with two to jump. His dam is by the Champion hurdle winning Alderbrook and this fellow is from the family of another Champion Hurdler in Rock On Ruby so he can be expected to drop back in trip and remain a very talented sort.
