This son of Great Pretender was very much an eyecatcher on debut at Loughrea behind the highly regarded Amirite and therefore surprised no one when scoring next time at Curraghmore. He made much of the running to score and when his rivals challenged before two out he found generously to go away at the line. The runner up had been bumper placed on his debut suggesting there was depth to this contest and even an uncharacteristic mistake at the last did little to curb his momentum as he went away to score by over two lengths. His dam was a sharp sort winning at Auteuil as a three-year-old.
