Out of a sister to the tough, sound, talented and consistent 16 times winning Take The Stand this son of Imperial Monarch showed plenty of promise on debut at Loughanmore. He ran well and looked one of the likely winners to the second last but could not match the injection of pace shown by the exciting Hartur D’Arc before the last. He was described as being six lengths behind the eventual winner at the last and once his second position was assured he was eased right down to the line given that he had ten lengths to spare over his nearest rival. Given how he outclassed all bar one of the thirteen runner field and was the only one capable of matching it with the winner before being eased down suggests he can mix it with the top company and will improve notably for this outing.
