This twice placed son of Ask who showed plenty of ability on debut when third in a decent Moig South contest. It is worth noting that the winner went on to land a bumper on his only subsequent outing and the runner-up has since won a point-to-point also. This fellow re-appeared on Sunday at Dromahane where unsurprisingly given that initial effort he was sent off as the short-priced favourite and only lost out narrowly at Dromahane to the previously placed Captain Broomfield. Crucially he was caught in a pocked on the inside rounding the home bend as the long-time leader dropped back and this cost him both valuable momentum and ground at a key part of the race as he dropped into fifth. This gave the eventual winner first run whilst he was on the back foot, but to his credit he powered up the home straight to only go down by a length in second. He is out of a sister to the Cheltenham Festival winner Forpadydeoasterer and should certainly not remain a maiden for long given he could be considered quite unlucky here.
