Wouldn’t you Agree made his debut in what looked a competitive maiden at Knockinroe in October, when he finished second to the smart Liam Kenny-trained Ashtown Lad. A €80,000 store purchase, Wouldn’t You Agree is a nicely-bred sort who hails from the family of high-class chaser Cooldine. The son of Fame and Glory was given a positive ride by jockey Finian Maguire however was no match for the winner. The five-year-old bay emerged from this contest with plenty of credit having occupied the runner-up position some twenty-lengths ahead of White Church, who was runner-up by only two and a half lengths in Portrush two weeks earlier. On that basis, he looks one that should progress well and have a good future under rules.
