Timber Tang Girl is a horse that returned to the promise of her debut in a five-year-old mares’ maiden at Toomebridge a fortnight earlier, by winning on her third outing at Portrush on the third weekend of the season. Coming from off the pace in what was a good tempo set throughout, she got away from the penultimate fence quicker than her chief rival and from that point she was able to dominate. At the line she won a shade snugly and should have little problem making the transition to racing under rules.
