It is unsurprising that Clondaw Hollow has a page full of winners in both jumps and flat spheres, as he proved to a horse with plenty of pace, with a strong travelling victory at Dowth Hall. Tracking the decernt pace, the Beat Hollow gelding made swift progress along the side of the course to hit the front on the run approaching the second-last, and from there he had too much speed for any of his eight rivals to reel him in. Crossing the line three lengths in front of a race-fit rival who had run on the previous weekend, Clondaw Hollow clocked the fastest time of the day, some 12 seconds quicker than the day’s average.
