Braeside is a very consistent sort who appears to have taken a notable step forward this term. Having gained good experience with three solid runs last Spring, the imposing sort has finished second on both of his starts this season. A son of Presenting, Braeside may be somewhat unlucky to still remain a maiden having only been beaten a head on his penultimate start at Toomebridge. Following this effort, the gelding bumped into a very smart looking sort at Portrush and certainly looks like he is well capable of shedding his maiden tag before too long. Ridden by Derek O’Connor on all but one of his starts, this four-year-old is a good jumping sort that cost €40,000 as a yearling, and is a half-brother to graded winner Loosen My Load.
