Defuture Is Bright made a very favourable impression to finish a close second, at Moig South in the second division of the four-year-old geldings maiden. The son of Westerner, a €38,000 Landrover Sale graduate, is trained by Ellen Doyle of Baltimore Stables. The debutant lost little in defeat here as only a short head separated the front two home, with the third horse a distance behind. Run at a strong gallop, the front two lead and disputed throughout, in a contest which clocked the fastest time of the day. This was an impressive performance from this good looking sort, in what looked an above average maiden for this time of year and he is a very promising sort going forward.
