Hurricane Harvey has shaped into a smart prospect on both his starts to date. Denis Hogan’s charge is a son of Doyen and was only beaten nine lengths on his debut at Loughrea this season. The four-year-old stepped up nicely on that performance to finish a good second in the first division of the four-year-old geldings’ at Moig South. He caught the eye travelling very smoothly into the contest on the run to the second last. While he was not quite able to reel in an impressive winner in the home straight, the bay gelding stayed on well to fill the runner up spot. On this evidence he would have no problem breaking his maiden between-the-flags and should be a smart sort under rules.
