Following two starts in point-to-points last spring, Clondaw’s Answer stepped up notably on his third start at Ballinaboola in November to win by six lengths over his closest rival. By the exciting young sire in Ask, he came to grief at the penultimate obstacle on his debut at Cragmore in February when in second spot. Benefiting from his experienced gained in the spring time, Clondaw’s Answer made it a pillar-to-post victory and never looked in danger having maintained a steady advantage throughout where he stayed on gamely in the closing stages in an impressively quick time following on from a competitive first division.
