Rocket Rufus a 4yo son of Jet Away is held in high regard by his connections and made a very promising debut in the maiden at Chaddesley Corbett on 20th April for Tom and Gina Ellis. He travelled in eye catching fashion before showing signs of greenness when they quickened up into the straight. The two horses in front of him - one was a 5yo and the other had the benefit of a run so this newcomer was up against more mature rivals and only gave best late on. He looks the type to take a big step forward from this initial outing and with a summers grass behind a lovely prospect for the autumn under rules.
