Kilfords Queen matched her Presenting dam Lunar Gift by finishing third in a Tattersalls four-year-old maiden on her debut at the beginning of the month, as she had to contend with what was a very slowly-run maiden which developed into a sprint finish. Tracking the pace-setters throughout, the Dylan Thomas mare stayed on very strongly here having been at the rear of the quartet turning into the home straight to move into the placings when jumping the last, from where she kept on to good effect, running all the way through the line in a performance which would be expected to set up for a big showing next time.
