This is a fascinating addition to the catalogue given the boost of form she has already received and how quickly it became apparent this was an above average maiden. The daughter of Milan was ridden close to the pace here on her debut and a good jump at the second last saw her go on. She was then strongly challenged at the last by the smart debutante Wildfield Ivy and also the talented Miss McGugen but showed too much ability and held off those rivals to the line. This race took place at the Friday meeting in Necarne and only two days later Miss McGugen’s connections saddled her for the Mares Open at Stradbally where she finished a fine second to The Forge Hill who is one of the top rated mares of the season and was winning her third point of the season having also been third in a Hunter Chase. This form boost places this mare in an enviable category of already being proven likely to be more than capable of Open and Hunter Chase company and of a successful career under rules.
