Vokolohs made a very promising start to his career when placed 2nd in Division II of the Maiden point to point at Edgcote on 16th May for the Tom and Gina Ellis team. The son of Sholokhov jumped and travelled well in the main and looked the most likeliest winner jumping the last, but he just showed his inexperience on the run in and was collared close home by a very highly regarded newcomer. He looks the type to benefit hugely from this initial outing and this brother to two track winners looks just the type to make a significant impact under rules.
