Run Wild Fred (IRE) Ch.G.

Run Wild Fred made his debut a winning one when taking his four-year-old maiden at Dawstown in May. The son Shantou was ridden in mid-division for much of the race before making steady headway from the third last fence where he progressed to dispute the lead at the final obstacle and gamely battled to the line to see off some fast finishing rivals and seal a deserved victory. One of six newcomers in the line-up, Run Wild Fred is from a track winning family and displayed a nice blend of both speed and stamina which highlights him as an exciting sort that should be added to all serious short lists at the sales.
