Gipsy Lee Rose heads to the sales following her success at Dromahane in a competitive four-year-old mares’ maiden. The Denis Murphy-trained mare had made a promising debut at Bellurgan Park in April where she finished just two lengths runner-up to the talented Beyondapproach. Having been ridden prominently from flag-fall, Gipsy Lee Rose took up the lead from the penultimate fence where the daughter of Walk In The Park quickly gained a strong advantage over her rivals and went clear on the run-in to win by a comfortable six lengths. Out of the winning French mare, Vanoo D’Orthe, Gipsy Lee Rose showed a nice blend of both speed and stamina and highlighted herself as an exciting mare who will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.
