Agent Valdez heads to the sales following her success in the five-and-year-old-upwards mares’ maiden at Loughrea in May. The good-looking daughter of Arvico made her debut appearance at Dromahane in April where she was fourth. Building on that experience gained on her initial start, Agent Valdez led from flag fall where she jumped impeccably throughout and was only headed approaching the final fence. With her main rival coming to grief at the final obstacle, Agent Valdez gallantly ran on again to secure a three length victory. The Ross O’Sullivan-trained mare is a half-sister to the three-time winner Bansdman as well as being from the family of the Group two runner-up Herculano. This progressive winner looks like a mare that can develop into a smart track performer and will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.
