Ceatharlach will go through the Tattersalls sales ring as one of the more experienced pointers in the catalogue, having raced between the flags five times this season. Obviously one who takes his racing well having not made his debut until mid-March, the Beneficial gelding gained a deserved success in a geldings' maiden on his latest outing at Grennan. Having finished second twice on previous runs, Colin Bowes charge quickened well in the closing stages of the three-mile event, scoring with two and a half-lengths over his closest pursuer. Ceatharlach looks versatile in regards to ground conditions but jumped a travelled with ease on the good to firm ground at Grennan. He posted a solid time, two seconds below average and is sure to be of good interest as he goes through the ring.
