Call Me Legend is a progressive individual who has improved his finish position with each of his three outings to date. Well-related, being out of a half-sister to the dual Grade 3-winning race mare Morning Run, he is a full-brother to the Grade 3 Silver Trophy winner Orby’s Legend, who also started his career pointing with Harley Dunne. Having been beaten just over nine lengths on his seasonal re-appearance, Call Me Legend stepped forward at Tinahely earlier this month. This was quite a slowly-run race which ended up being quite tactical, but he showed great staying qualities to chase home two notable individuals, whom he would have been even closer to but for putting a slow jump at the last. The Gordon Elliott-trained winner was only beaten just over a length in a Navan maiden hurdle on his sole previous start, whilst brings a level of track form that is not often found in a younger-age maiden point-to-point.
