This progressive son of Soldier Of Fortune has posted two very creditable efforts and looks one on an upward trajectory. On debut he was a fine fourth in a competitive Portrush maiden run in an exceptional time all of seventeen seconds faster than the average time on the day. He had been showing the right signs at home and was sent off favourite here accordingly and was clearly a horse who was going to improve notably for the run. On this second and most recent outing at Tattersalls he was a very close third in a top maiden which was again run in a very fast time. Again well supported in the market and setting out to make all the running he may well have been unlucky that he was taken on so strongly leaving the back straight which somewhat gave the winner a target in the home straight. His scope is notable and jumping slick and he still landed on the bridle before the final fence but didn’t quite get to the line as well as his two rivals. He seems an improver who could well appreciate a drop back in trip to maximise his undoubted potential.
