Maximum credit should be allocated to this fellow who fell at the second on his debut at Borris on December 11th but turned out one week later none the worse mentally or physically to win his five-year-old maiden in most impressive fashion. He was ridden with real confidence and always on the pace or forcing his rivals. A big field followed him out on the final circuit and whilst all of these would have been fit with previous runs they began to feel the pinch one by one as he increased the tempo. On the run across the bottom of the track he still had six giving chase but each began to struggle and on the turn for home it was clear that he was in a completely different class to his rivals winning by an easy twenty lengths. It is worth nothing that the well beaten runner up Johnny Dogs was holding every chance when falling three out at Turtulla on his next start and the third placed Go Frankie had been placed twice beaten less than five lengths on both of his previous runs including once at this course behind Wearelongterm. This form is very sound indeed and the performance is therefore one of the very highest calibre.
