Coco Mademoiselle is a horse that had clearly been pleasing her connections as she was the subject of notable market support ahead of her debut at Lingstown in November. She did offer encouraging signs when travelling well into the race before tiring in the final half-mile, but she vindicated that market support when winning on her very next start. Once again sent off at the top of the market when contesting a maiden at Tinahely earlier this month, it was notable just how steady a gallop the race was run to with most of the field tightly grouped at the bottom of the hill. This turned the race into something of a sprint finish, and it was once that she came out best when hitting the front on the run to the last. Given how the race was run it was no mean feat to put distance between herself and her rivals owing to the steep uphill finish in the ground conditions, yet it was notable how she opened up on the short run-in to win going away. There certainly looks to be more to come from her.
