Having only been denied by the narrowest of margins on her debut in what looked a strong performance at Boulta, Desert Fortune was understandably sent off as an odds-on favourite for her next start at Ballindenisk earlier this month. The performance she delivered on this latest outing more than matched her starting price as she always travelled like the best horse in the race and was comfortably in command some way out such was her dominance on this contest. Once asked to lengthen after the second last, she did so immediately and never had to be asked for anything close to maximum effort to win as she pleased by eight lengths. However in truth, the winning margin could likely have been multiples of that verdict. She is clearly a very smart performer.
