Ripper Roo turned a lot of heads when making a fine winning 20 length debut in the 4,5 & 6yo Open Maiden at Sheriff Hutton for Fran Nimmo. The son of Smadoun travelled powerfully throughout under James King and took up the running with ease at the last to stride clear and win by a comfortable 20 lengths at the line without being extended. This was a really taking performance from a potentially high class youngester who looks to have a big future.
