Well regarded by connections beforehand, Different Story fully justified that confidence when making a highly impressive debut in the five-year-old mares’ maiden at Oldtown. Always travelling comfortably, she moved into contention from five out and quickened clear before two out, stretching 64 lengths clear of the only other finisher in what became a one-horse race. It was a polished and dominant first effort that marked her down as a mare of considerable promise. By Poet’s Word and out of Boldilocks, she hails from the family of multiple winners under rules.
