A tough and talented sort who battled best to win at Castlelands on debut. It cannot be understated the early pace of this race and how it impacted the contest. Not only was the time of the race sixteen seconds faster than the average time on the day but it was eight seconds faster than the four-year-old maiden who was carrying 7lb less and ran half an hour earlier in the day. Notwithstanding the exceptionally strong pace this fellow proved he was up for a battle and although making a mistake at the last he began to hit top gear at the line where he was extending his advantage all the way to the judge. He is a brother to a Grade 1 and Cheltenham Festival winning horse in The Storyteller and looks set to provide plenty of entertainment at the highest level of national hunt racing himself.
