Tag Man ran a cracker on his debut performance when only beaten by three-quarters-of-a-length in the four-year-old maiden at Borris House. Ridden by John O’Neill, the gelding was given a patient ride, before making notable progress at the halfway point of the contest. The race saw Tag Man and the winner Amarillo Sky pull considerably clear of their rivals after jumping the second last upsides. However the winner regained the lead before the last and Tag Man valiantly gave chase, where it is notable that he stuck to his task to such an effect, that from the final fence, the winner was not able to pull clear of him. A €40,000 store purchase, who is out of a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Celtic Son and twelve-time track winner Sonevafushi, this son of Fame And Glory posted a strong run where he lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.
