Graded winners Envoi Allen and Samcro both graduated from the Colin Bowe yard and the Co. Wexford native seems to have yet another smart recruit on his hands here in Gerri Colombe. The son of Saddle Maker was always prominent on his debut at Lingstown, in what was a very tightly grouped six-runner contest that developed into a sprint finish. The four-year-old travelled well throughout the contest, while displaying a nice round of jumping. The €85,000 store purchase found plenty for pressure after being headed at the last where he then proceeded to battle hard on the run-in to regain the lead just in time to secure the winners position. This well-bred individual, who is related to seven-time winning mare Tel Pere Tel Fils displayed a nice blend of both speed and stamina and looks set to further add to this winning family when he makes his progression to the track.
