The Liam Burke- trained Exod’Ela made a winning debut when taking the five and six-year-old geldings’ maiden at Lismore. Given a very patient ride by Derek O’Connor the strong-travelling bay still had much of the field in front of him four-out. The son of Saddler Maker made relentless headway in the closing stages, but was still in fourth jumping the final fence. This €43,000 store kept on gamely on the run to the line, going on to win by a somewhat cosy two and a half lengths. A half-brother to two winners, this good-looking sort could well develop into a decent prospect under rules.
