Derby Sale graduate Loughmourne advertised his credentials with a decisive maiden success in a competitive ten-runner affair at Nenagh. The Maxios gelding travelled smoothly into contention on the final circuit, joined the more experienced runner-up at the last and found plenty on the run-in to score by three lengths. Out of a winning Mahler mare, he shapes as a strong, staying type with plenty of scope. This was a perfect introduction, and he looks well equipped to make a seamless transition to the track.
