A fine debut effort by this son of Malinas who is eye-catchingly out of a Kings Theatre mare. He turned up on the opening Sunday at Bellharbour having taken all his work smoothly from the time he was acquired as a store and he went on to finish a fine second indicating there is a very bright future ahead. This is a race which requires close scrutiny. Having made much of the running and fought off all challengers he was then tackled by the eventual winner Downmexicoway. To his credit he picked up again and made a brave bid to close the gap to the winner but too much effort had been exerted. He may well have been a target for the winner to chase and with this experience under his belt is likely to be a tough nut to crack wherever he goes next having gained this valuable experience.
