A seven length winner of his maiden at Ballinaboola. He had shown a promising start to his career at Boulta on debut before stepping up to score on just his second outing. He was poised behind the leaders at the second last when two fallers required him to be nimble and quick footed to avoid danger and given the idling he showed coming up the straight it appears as though he had plenty in hand suggesting he still had a strong role to play when left in front in this contest. It is particularly notable that irrespective of any race readers view of where he may have finished the clock is notably complimentary to him. He finished the race nine seconds faster than the average time on the day which is a very smart effort and one not to be taken lightly.
