Aint That A Shame posted a very credible debut performance when only beaten a short head on his debut in a competitive five-year-olds geldings’ maiden at Kilfeacle. Ridden by Ray Barron, the son of Jeremy was never too far away from the pace and travelled very smoothly into the contest to pick up the advantage on the run to the last. Shirley Berry’s charge soon opened up a four length advantage but having jumped the final fence, the debutant tired markedly on the run to the line and was collared in the dying strides. This can easily be excused from what is clearly a talented type and this well-bred sort can go on to be an exciting prospect between-the-rails.
