Silver Sheen got off the mark at the second time of asking when taking the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Ballyvodock for Paul Cashman. Ridden in mid-division the son of Sulamani found plenty for pressure in the closing stages, showed a very likable attitude to taste his first success. It is worth noting that this maiden was run ten seconds faster than the day’s average time, while there was also a couple of previously placed sorts in behind. By the same sire as Aintree Grand National winner – Rule The World, this good-looking bay looks likely to be well capable of continuing his progression under rules for new connections.
