Description

The eyecatching Notachance made a very promising debut at Tallow in February when finishing second to Some Operator on the opening weekend of the four-year-old maidens. Notachance disputed the lead for much of the race before being badly hampered after the fifth last fence where he regained his position until giving way to the eventual winner at the final fence and rallied well on the run-in to just lose out by a length at the finish. The Denis Murphy-trained gelding is a son of Mahler who is from the family of the prolific winners Over The Deel and Smarty. Having posted such a strong run, this good-looking gelding lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.
