Envoi Allen made a massive impression when taking his four-year-old maiden at Ballinaboola in February which was run over 2m4f. Disputing the lead for much of the race, the Colin Bowe-trained gelding travelled strongly on the final mile and went on after the third last fence where he quickened clear approaching the final fence and ran out an impressive 10 length winner and in doing so displayed an injection of speed in the closing stages. Out of the two-time winning French mare, Reaction who is a half-sister to the Grade three winner Une Epoque Envoi Allen is also from the family of the talented Mikador and the smart juvenile hurdler, Espoir D’Allen. This eye-catching gelding looks to be a high class addition to the catalogue who should be added to every serious short list.
