Cangodemayo made a victorious introduction to racing, narrowly winning a five and six-year old mares maiden at Kirkistown. The daughter of Lucarno did not face an easy task on her debut as this race had the hallmarks of being a very competitive contest, and she put in a fine round of jumping and dug deep to hold off the challenge of another newcomer Hollow Park. Little Millie who finished back in third was having her second start of the season, having finished third on debut at Tyrella, so the form has some depth. With more experience it is likely that Cangodemayo may develop into a nice chaser as jumping seems to be her forte.
