Well related as a half-brother to the Grade 2-winning Deafening Silence and the £410,000 seller Echoing Silence, Make Me Smile could not have made a better start to his career when winning by a wide margin at Tinahely last month. This was a race that was run to a strong gallop with few hiding places, and whilst many of his rivals struggled, this chestnut came through it with flying colours by powering up the hill to win by a notable 14 lengths in a time that was 18 seconds quicker than the average time on the card. The last-place finisher in the race has since advertised the form by finishing placed subsequently, ensuring this is a performance to take seriously.
