Having pulled-up on her debut in very testing ground at Ballyknock last season, Kenisa Sport showed the benefit of a sounder surface when re-appearing at Boulta last Saturday. She had to come from a long way back, as she was still only in sixth position entering the home bend, but she cut through the pack approaching the penultimate fence, and after having to be switched when her path up the inside was blocked, she continued to eat into the advantage of the eventual winner to end up upsides holding every chance at the last. Despite battling gamely on the run-in, she had to settle for second, beaten just half a length as the pair pulled nicely clear of their rivals.
