As is to be expected given the connections that she represents, Lisnamurrican is a well-bred individual that had cost £70,000 at the store sales last year, and she finished a very encouraging fourth on her debut in a typically hot four-year-old maiden at Loughanmore in April. The winner of that race was a subsequent sales topper, selling for €320,000, and has since gone on to achieve black type, finishing third in a listed bumper on her racecourse debut. Lisnamurrican herself achieved her maiden victory on her very next start at Tattersalls last Sunday. Confidence in her was high going into the race, and she duly delivered, coming from off the pace to easily move into contention on the final circuit. She showed great speed along the bottom of the track to edge her head into the front, and once asserting off the home bend she was soon in command, ultimately crossing the line with two and a half lengths to spare over her nearest rival.
