A progressive son of Doyen who stepped up to open his account most recently at Lingstown. He had shown plenty of promise on his Dromahane maiden behind the well regarded Captain Bellamy before stepping up to a fine fourth at Ballycrystal. The improvement continued and he won in very taking fashion on his most recent start. His win at Lingstown was likeable on many levels but not least as it was run in awful conditions and he showed wonderful enthusiasm in spite of the driving rain. A 70,000 store purchase he made all the running and seemed to be improve as the race progressed and showed a wonderful attitude to draw clear by four lengths to the line. He is out of a smart dual winner and a brother to a black type performer in James Gate and from the top page of Morley Street and Granville Again. He hails from a yard which failed to hit top form last season but still fared well and is now showing the true level of his potential. He could climb a long way up the ranks given the trajectory he is now on.
